Originally specialising in individually tailored personal tuition and boat deliveries we expanded our activities in 2008 when we discovered just how difficult it was to get marine soft furnishings made at a reasonable cost.

TRAINING COURSES

We offer a wide range of training courses specifically tailored to the needs of individual students. Whether it is a half day familiarisation course with a new boat or you are thinking of making your first channel crossing and would like the reassurance of an experienced skipper on board why not give us a call.

At Mercator Maritime we also specialise in offering individual personalised theory designed to meet client’s specific needs. The courses, which are limited to a maximum of two students take place at our premises in Verwood, Dorset or we can come to your home. To help in the learning process we have a Raymarine Plotter/Radar in our classroom which we will use for practical demonstrations of effective electronic navigation.

DELIVERIES

We can deliver your motor vessel by sea to any location in Europe. It will be treated with great care and will be left clean and ready to go at your chosen destination. Owners are welcome onboard and free tuition is part of the package.

MARINE CANVAS & SOFT FURNISHINGS

We manufacture all marine canvas items including dodgers, dinghy covers, tonneau covers and biminis. We also carry out repairs including fitting new zips or patches. All work is carried out using the highest quality materials including Sunbrella fabrics.

We can also manufacture curtains, bed throws, cushions and headboards which can be upholstered in your choice of material or high quality Italian leather.

MAINTENANCE

If you want to learn how to keep your boat in tip top condition why not give us a call. We can teach you how to service your own engines, sea toilets, bilge or shower pumps or, if you prefer, we can carry out the work for you
