 At Mercator Maritime we specialise in offering individual personalised tuition, both practical and theory, at competitive prices.
Whether you are looking a single day’s practical training or want to learn how to get the best out of a new chart plotter we can arrange a course for you.
Unlike many other schools we do not use freelance instructors and all tuition is carried out personally by David Griffiths, who is a highly experienced RYA Yachtmaster Instructor who taught his first RYA course 20 years ago.
All training is individually designed to meet your personal objectives and take place at our premises in Verwood, Dorset or we can come to your home.
To help in the learning process we have a Raymarine Plotter/Radar in our classroom which we will use for practical demonstrations of effective electronic navigation.
Unfortunately we no longer offer RYA recognised training courses as the current economic situation and the high cost of maintaining and running school boats means that we can no longer maintain the high standards which we set ourselves and still offer the courses at a reasonable cost.
We do however still offer individual personalised tuition on your own boat and our daily rates are very competitive.
