MERCATOR MARITIME

At Mercator Maritime we specialise in offering individual one to one personalised tuition for all RYA Shorebased courses. Courses take place at our premises in Verwood, Dorset or we can come to your home. The courses can either consist of five days (Monday to Friday), three weekends or can be individually tailored to your personal needs.

To help in the learning process we have a Raymarine Plotter/Radar in our classroom which we will use for practical demonstrations of effective electronic navigation.

All theory courses require some evening study in order to cover the entire syllabus

Whilst our courses are normally one to one we are able to offer a substantial reduction if two students book together. In order to maintain the highest quality of tuition we regret that we are unable to offer courses for more than two people.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• All course fees are based on courses conducted at our premises in Verwood.
• For courses conducted elsewhere travelling expenses may be charged in addition. Please ask for a quote.
• The maximum number of students is two.
• Course fees include instruction, course materials and a light lunch. Students are responsible for providing their own plotting instruments.
• Course fees do not include accommodation. If accommodation at Mercator Lodge is required a discount of 15% from our standard room rate will be allowed.
• A deposit of £100 per person is due with the completed booking form. The balance of the fee is due four weeks before the start of the course. If the balance is not paid by the due date Mercator Maritime Limited reserve the right to regard the reservation as cancelled.
• If a student cancels a reserved place more than four weeks before the start of the course the deposit will be returned less an adninistration fee of £25. If a student cancels a reserved place less than four weeks before the start of the course the deposit will be forfeit. All cancellations must be in writing.
• Mercator Maritime Limited, its servants, agents and instructors do not accept any responsibility for any loss or injury suffered by any person and/or their property unless such loss or damage was caused by negligence.
